Blythe on the Air 3/17!

I have the privilege of chatting with the Queen of ZNE, Chelise Stroud-Hery, the founder of VariaZioNE on jolly 'ole St. Patrick's Day at 9:30 p.m. EST on Blog Talk Radio. Tune in to hear us discuss all things art and dolls, and our mutual love of Blythe. The air waves may never be the same.

I am so excited I did go to "This is Blythe" and bought Primadolly Saffy. I am so impulsive! I love the way she looks just wish she came with a matt face. How hard is it to matt their faces? What do you use? I would be kind of afraid to mess her up. I have been looking at them for a while on ebay. Oh my, I was suffering from sticker shock. I already ordered a great tribal dress and tribal hat on Etsy.
Oh no, I am obsessed.
We are headed for Clearwater beach in Fl. in 2 weeks. Can't wait, love the beach.
When my blythe arrives I will start posting pics and let you know. Thank you for letting me add a link to your sites on my blog.

My Blythe Obsession

My love affair with Blythe only recently begun, having cluelessly missed them during their debuts in 1972 and 2000. I think I first spotted them on Flickr and then quickly made the leap to the This is Blythe forum. Blythes of course made their meteoric rise thanks to the supremely talented Gina Garan and her incredible photographic skills and love for Blythe. Her books and photos are total eye candy.

I started out with Lilly London, a Star Dancer from Tokyo; Maggy, an ADG Princess Parfait brunette from Illinois and Zena, a custom and a surprise gift from a wonderful person. I had some others; then I sold some. Now the bug is back, and I have a few customs as you can see above. The count is getting perilously close to filling Blythe Manor II, my 12-room Blythe size 1:6 Mod-ish dollhouse. I had one of those before recently, and sold everything. I also had a childhood 1:12 metal dollhouse with Petite Princess furniture, which I pitched. Ack.

But for now, all these girlz really like to do is shop, change clothes, get their hair and nails done, get their pictures taken, pour over Flickr Blythe groups and Blythe blogs and websites. They talk on their cell a lot, but they do keep their room pretty clean. Occasionally, they do art and cook. Oh yeah, and shop on ebay and look for Re-ment. We hang out on Plastic Paradise, too. It's a doll's life!
